Material!
Learning the material!
Knowing the material!
Retaining the material!
Being comfortable with the material!
This was one of the MOST "needs work on" areas of reference while having discussions with staff and coaches at our combine.
Dancers are still not comfortable with and able to immediately learn and retain choreography in gameday/sidelines, pom and hiphop.
Coaches are often looking for dancers who are READY to be on the field, learn sidelines and material (learning 50 routines the first month of practice is common).
Can dancers LEARN QUICKLY (they often need to learn dances/sidelines in just days for a performance).
Can dancers learn the choreography quickly AND perform it immediately with the correct execution?
If a dancer must still "think" about arms, being on toes, picking up their feet...the "performance" factor is lost.
THIS is why we suggest and offer training.
REPETITION IS KEY!
